Differences between original silica and silica Matting Agent

Original silica can be found in quartz or sand. Original silica has no special properties for using. Only when it is processed 

by technologies can it provide different properties for using. Silica matting agent is a processed good of original silica. 

Original silica is ground into powder state then is used precipitated method to change its own chemical specifications. 

Has the properties of  original silica will silica matting agent has too?

* Physical property

WF-150-W Silica matting agent's main material is silica, it is only processed to get more different specifications that original 

silica haven't had. But the basic physical properties of silica will not be changed by the process technologies. Original silica 

has special physical properties including strong hardness, high temperature resistance, shock-resistant, insulated, visible light 

as well as red and ultraviolet light. So same as silica matting agent.

* Chemical property

Original silica has stable chemical properties. Silicon dioxide is an acidic oxide, corresponding to the highest hydration is silicic 

acid. Silica is chemically inactive and does not react easily with water and most acids. Salts are usually formed only by reacting 

with basic oxides.  So same as silica matting agent is chemically inertness and it will not easy to 

act with other materials in coating.
