What is the relationship between silica Matting Agent and elastic paint?

as filler or thickener in paints. Silica dioxide is a white color powder with nano particle size. After changing its chemical parameters to

turn normal silica dioxide into silica matting agent, the functions of silica matting agent that is used in paints are useful.
