In economy paints, adding silicon dioxdie is crucial. Adding too small content of silicon dioxide in paints might not create excellent

effect. But adding too much content of silicon dioxide in paints might not only increase the cost but also reduce the quality of the

paints.

According to our experiences, adding 0.5% to 2% silica dioxide into paints can improve paints hardeness, adhesive property and resistance

obviously.

Using high technical dispersion technology is the key that make sure silicon dioxide is dispersed evenly. For example, using ultrasonic

dispersion and mechanical stirring can effectively prevent the agglomeration of nano-silica particles. Besides, the uniform dispersion

of nano-silica can also be achieved by a two-step method or a one-step method.

Silicon dioxide like our QX-20 is suitable to use in various economic coating like industrial coating, metal coating,plastic coating and so

on. In industrial coating, silica dioxide can improve coating's adhesive ability, washable resistance and weather resistance. In metal coating,

silica dioxide can improve coating's anti-corrosive ability. In plastic coating, silica dioxide can improve coating's heating stability and flame

retardant property.

Silicon dioxide has many functional specifications when it is used in economic paints. Such as improving the hardness, wear resistance, heat

resistance and UV resistance of the coating. In addition, it can also be used as a Matting Agent to reduce the specular reflectivity by forming

a micro-rough surface on the paint film surface.
