Silica matting agent is easy to disperse into water based solvent or eco solvent. But it is better to use high-spped 

disperation machine to mix it into coating which is evenly. Normally we will not recommend to put silica into coating 

before it is ground. This will reduce the possibility for creating worse matte effect due to silica was ground in

too small particle size.

What functions will happen if adding silica matting agent into wood coating?

Paints with silicon dioxide can be used in wooden furnitures, wooden floor or any wooden-made goods that need to 

be protected.
- Scratches resistance: Silicon dioxide can form a strong protective film which can prevent the paints from scratch 

and tear.When silicon dioxide is used as paints' material, it can help to enhance the paints' surface using time and its 

durable ability. 

- UV radation resistance: Besides the scratch resistance ability, silicon dioxide can also provide other advantages like 

it can resist the UV radiation. This can prevent the woods from fading or discoloration due to sun exposure. 

What's more,using silicon dioxide into the paints can enhance its water resistance ability which makes the surface 

of the paint more resistant to moisture and liquid spills.
