1. Specific surface area
The size of silica reinforcing effect mainly depends on its specific surface. Generally, as the specific surface area increases, the strength
indicators of rubber products increase, but the resilience decreases, the tear strength decreases, and it is not wear-resistant. It is difficult to
disperse during mixing, the heat generation is high, the rubber Mooney viscosity is large, and it is easy to burn. Therefore, different formulas
and different uses require different specific surface areas, and the influence of specific surface area on the physical and mechanical properties
of vulcanized rubber is not consistent.
2. Oil absorption value
The oil absorption value reflects the degree of structure. The larger the oil absorption value, the smaller the structure. The tensile strength of the
vulcanized rubber is generally larger, the tensile strength and hardness are larger, especially the wear resistance is smaller, but the elongation is lower.
3. 900℃ burning loss
It shows that when there are too many surface hydroxyl groups, it is easy to cause the structuring of the rubber composite material, making the material brittle.
It affects the processing performance, and the vulcanized rubber is easy to fall off. The surface hydroxyl groups have a strong adsorption effect on the
vulcanization accelerator, which prolongs the vulcanization time.
4. 105℃ heating loss
It reflects the amount of free water in the particle gap. When it is too little, the rubber compound has a high degree of structuring and it becomes difficult to
refine the rubber. If the heating loss is zero, the silica is useless. It is generally more appropriate to control it at about 6%.
5. PH value
Generally around 7, the pH value increases (the acidity decreases), and the vulcanization speed of the rubber compound accelerates.
6. Soluble salt
